Our Story
We both grew up on, in, and around the water and now, together, we’ve poured our hearts into building a business that gives others the opportunity to experience the incredible joy that comes with spending time on the ocean.
Cheryl has spent her entire life on boats. Before she could walk her dad had her on fishing trips using the livewell as a makeshift crib. In high school, she and her dad lived on a boat in Marina del Rey. Until recently, she worked as the primary captain for Marina del Rey’s Vessel Assist commercial tow boat. I (Jack) grew up in the land of 10,000 lakes, Minnesota. I got my boating license at 16 and my captains license when I moved to Los Angeles and have been working towards building this business ever since.
When our lives crossed paths a decade ago, it was boating that brought us together. Our first date was a day on Castaic Lake. Our first getaway was a trip to the Colorado River. Our first home was a boat instead of a house. We both love the ocean and we’re incredibly fortunate to share that passion in our personal lives and now our professional lives.

Yes, Latitude 33 Yacht Charters holds a valid water taxi operators permit through the County of Los Angeles and is licensed to operate out of Marina del Rey’s commercial charter dock.
Yes, all our captains are USCG licensed captains.
Yes, all our yachts are inspected annually by the USCG to ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulation.
